Free Eye Camp – Bhoompalli




The EArtH Foundation successfully organized a Free Eye Check-up Camp for high school students at Bhoompally Government High School, Akbarpet–Bhoompally Mandal, Siddipet District, emphasizing the vital role of good eyesight in learning and confidence. The camp was formally inaugurated by Bakki Venkatayya, who appreciated the Foundation’s commitment to student health and education. With professional medical support from Vasan Eye Care Hospital and Upgrade My Classroom, qualified specialists conducted systematic eye examinations for 200 students. Five students identified with vision issues were provided free spectacles on the spot, ensuring immediate support. Teachers and volunteers ensured smooth coordination, discipline, and efficient management throughout the program. The initiative received strong encouragement from community leaders, including the village Sarpanch, Deputy Sarpanch, ward members, parents, and local representatives. The camp was also positively covered by leading Telugu newspapers such as Eenadu and Mana Praja Pratinidhi, highlighting the importance of health initiatives in government schools. Overall, the program improved visibility, classroom focus, and confidence among students—proving that timely eye care can truly brighten a child’s learning journey.
