The EArtH Foundation hosted a two-day Skills & Sports Competition 2024-25 at Zilla Parishad High School, Siddipet, bringing together over 200 students from 9 schools to showcase their talents in academics, arts, and sports. The event inspired creativity, teamwork, and holistic student growth.

Introduction

At Zilla Parishad High School in Indiranagar, Siddipet, the EArtH Foundation successfully arranged a two-day organization-level skills and sports competition. The purpose of the event was to improve students’ academic, cultural, and athletic abilities. With great excitement, more than 200 kids from nine schools in the Siddipet region of Maharashtra participated.

Chief Guest Inauguration

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Raj Prabhakar Reddythe Siddipet Urban Mandal Education Officer, who lauded the efforts of the EArtH Foundation in fostering holistic student development. He emphasized the significance of such activities in enhancing students’ skills, knowledge, and overall growth.    In his address, Mr. Reddy commended the Foundation’s initiatives, highlighting how they provide valuable learning opportunities and contribute to students’ academic and personal enrichment. He encouraged students, teachers, and organizers to continue their dedication to these meaningful programs. His words of appreciation and encouragement served as a great motivation for both students and the EArtH Foundation team, inspiring them to pursue excellence with renewed enthusiasm.

Day 1: Competitions and Activities

he first day was filled with engaging competitions and activities designed to enhance students’ skills, creativity, and teamwork.

The day began with a Drawing Competition on the theme “My Home – My Family,” where students showcased their artistic abilities and personal expressions. This was followed by Kabaddi Matches, promoting teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness while allowing students to display their athletic talent.

To strengthen writing skills, Handwriting Practice emphasized neat and clear writing, while an Essay Writing Competition on “Disadvantages of Not Going to School” encouraged students to reflect on the value of education and express their thoughts effectively. A Quiz Competition tested their general knowledge and reasoning, sharpening their analytical abilities.

Additional activities such as Picture Reading enhanced observation and comprehension, while Drama and Storytelling gave students the opportunity to explore creativity and build confidence in public speaking. The day concluded with a Speech Competition on “If You Were the Headmaster,” where students shared imaginative leadership ideas. Their enthusiasm and participation even received recognition in a local newspaper, highlighting the positive impact of the event.

To keep students refreshed and energized, the EArtH Foundation served wholesome meals, starting with a nutritious breakfast and a balanced lunch. Teachers and organizers worked closely to ensure a smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all.

Day 2: More Competitions and Grand Finale

The second day was filled with enthusiasm as students participated in a variety of competitions, showcasing their talents and skills.

The day began with Spell Bee and Chess, which enhanced spelling accuracy and strategic thinking. In the sports segment, students demonstrated their strength and agility in Broad Jump, Skipping, and Medicine Ball Throw. Events like the Shuttle Run and Running Race highlighted their speed and endurance, while the Kabaddi Finals brought high energy, teamwork, and competitive spirit to the ground.

Cultural and creative performances added vibrance to the day, with students taking part in a March Past, Dance, and Skits, learning the values of teamwork and discipline. A memorable highlight was the Fancy Dress Competition, where students creatively dressed up to raise awareness about the harmful effects of junk food.

The two-day event concluded on a high note, promoting learning, creativity, and healthy competition. With the support of the EArtH Foundation, students enjoyed a meaningful experience while building confidence and discovering new skills.

Words of Encouragement

The event was honored by the presence of Kalaveni Srinivas, Judge Chandana Hazari, Mangalampalli Raju, and Anjaneyulu. They praised the hard work of teachers and students, emphasizing the value of skill-building and extracurricular activities in education.

A special appreciation was given to Founder Pramod Peddi for his dedication to student growth and development.
