Vinayaka Chavithi Celebrations

At the EArtH Foundation adopted schools in Chagal, Pallagutta, Velkatur, Thimmapur, and Obulkeshvapur, students celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in an eco-friendly way by making clay idols of Lord Ganesha with their own hands and decorating them with flowers. They proudly took the idols home and offered puja with devotion. Teachers explained the harmful effects of chemical-made idols on water bodies and encouraged the use of clay idols, which dissolve easily without polluting rivers and ponds. The activity not only brought joy but also taught children the importance of protecting nature. To encourage creativity, the best idol from each school was awarded a prize, which motivated students to put in their best efforts. Parents appreciated the initiative, as children carried the message of eco-friendly celebrations back to their homes. The celebration turned into both a festival of happiness and a meaningful lesson in caring for the environment.
